TCS is a safety feature that prevents wheel spin and helps maintain traction when accelerating, especially on slippery surfaces like wet roads, gravel, or ice.
How It Works:
01. Wheel Speed Sensors – Each wheel is equipped with sensors that monitor its rotational speed in real-time.
02. ECU (Electronic Control Unit) – The ECU compares the speed of all wheels. If it detects that one or more wheels are spinning faster than the others (indicating a loss of traction), it intervenes immediately.
03. Corrective Actions by TCS –
Applies brake to the spinning wheel to reduce its speed.
Reduces engine power or throttle input to prevent further slip.
This allows the spinning wheel to regain grip and ensures that the vehicle continues to move safely without losing control.
